Camera deals at Amazon after lunch

Let's see what "desserts" we have at the camera and photo i-candy store at Amazon!

The 18x superzoom Olympus SP550 is on sale for $282, sold and shipped by Amazon herself. There is a newer model, the SP560uz. If you are not sure, or familiar with either model, be sure to read reviews and things like that.

Another giant bunlde from Cameta Cameras, for $280, the Canon PowerShot A720 IS 8.0 Megapixel Compact Digital Camera with 6x Optical Zoom + Transcend 4GB 150x SecureDigital (SD) Card + High Speed USB 2.0 SecureDigital (SD) Card Reader + (4) - 2700mAh AA NiMH Rechargeable Batteries w/5 Hour 110-220v Charger + Digital Camera Case. Good for someone getting started and does not have the usual "extras" that a gadget-aholic may have. Good idea for high-school students or college students who are not electronic/gadget-freaks.

Who needs the Nikon D3 when you can have the Digital Pink 626 Disney Pix Click Princess Digital Camera for under $50? They are both ...princesses ;-)

The FZ50 continues to climb the price ladder, now the Panasonic FZ50S silver is at $466. The week before XMas it had fallen all the way down to $430.

Find your pictures-way for $110 with the Sony GPSCS1KA GPS Unit Kit for Most Digital Still Cameras.

The magenta Nikon S51 is offered at $193. This has some sort of VR but no wifi. The one with wifi has a lowercase "c" in their model name, eg "S51c".

Another giant starter package from Cameta, this one for $370, with a camera that begs for RAW: Nikon Coolpix P5100 12.1 Megapixel Digital Camera with 3.5x VR Optical Zoom + 4GB SDHC Memory Card + High Speed 2.0 USB SecureDigital Card Reader + Spare EN-EL5 Battery for Nikon + Digital Camera Case Nikon Coolpix P5100 12.1 Megapixel Digital Camera with 3.5x VR Optical Zoom + 4GB SDHC Memory Card + High Speed 2.0 USB SecureDigital Card Reader + Spare EN-EL5 Battery for Nikon + Digital Camera Case. RAW with that please! Are you listening Nikon? :)

Down $7 is the Panasonic FX55P (pink) to $293. And almost half that at $150 is the Olympus FE 240 through J&R World.

Then a $100 camera, through Adorama, the GE A730, General Imaging's first official wave of digital cameras. This is a 7mp, 3x optpical entry-leveler.

Meanwhile the green Samsung S630 tempts people at just $85. Since it takes SD/MMC and AA batteries it doesn't have any additional "overheard". Just plug and play if you already have a stock pile of rechargeable AA battereis and SD/MMC memory cards. Good as a throwaway camera because of the price. All apologies to Samsung fans :)

Dont' throw this lens away! The giant bundle at $690 from Cameta cameras includes the Nikon 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 G ED-IF AF-S VR [Vibration Reduction] DX Lens + Hoya 72mm UV Haze Protector Glass Filter + CapKeeper Lens Cap Strap + 6-Piece Cleaning Kit - good for Nikon Digital SLR Cameras including Nikon D40, D40x, D50, D70, D70s, D80, D100, D200 & D300, and all the other DX-based Nikon-mount cameras which also includes obviously the Fuji S5, S3, S2, S1 and some older Kodaks way back way Kodak Professional was making DSLRs left and right.
