Samsung S630, Nikon D80 two lens kit, and other specials at Amazon

Let's see what we have tonight at the Amazon marketplace!

If you are looking for under $100, take a look at the black Samsung S630, offered at $80 by 3rd party seller "17th street photo".

If you want a digital slave flash on cheap, $40 is what you pay for the Quantaray - QMS-D1 Wireless Digital Camera Flash Booster / Slave, offered by Ritz Camera.

More on the budget end of the spectrum, the Sanyo E760, pink, is offered at $126, sold and shipped by Amazon itself. For just $6 more, you can take a look at the Fuji A820, which uses a SuperCCD sensor, but the sensor/engine combo is not as good as in the more expensive Fuji cameras.

At $167, fans of xD or Olympus can take a look at the Olympus FE250, offered at that price by Beach Cameras.

At $160 we have two cameras competing for your hard earned dollars, the Samsung NV7 via Tigerdirect and the Kodak V1003, depending on body color.

At $177, you can get the Panasonic FX12, but keep in mind this is an older model.

Long Zoooooms
The big Panasonic FZ50 went as low as $430 during the Xmas break, but now it is up to $466. Interesting!

Meanwhile Cameta Cameras has prepared a giant bundle for the Olympus SP550Uz. It goes for $365 and includes the following: Olympus SP-550 UZ 7.1 Megapixel Digital Camera with 18x Optical Zoom + Olympus M-2GB xD-Picture Card + Olympus xD-Picture Card Reader/Writer + (4) - 2700mAh AA NiMH Rechargeable Batteries w/5 Hour 110-220v Charger + Digital Camera Case.

The sleek ultracompacts
If you want to consider the camera that stole the hearts of the Japanese market, the Panasonic FX33, available in multiple colors, is offered at exactly $250 and free shipping.

To save $50, you can go for the older Panasonic FX30, offered by the good people of J&R World.

Meanwhile Nikon's sleek Coolpix S51 brown is offered by Ritz Cameras online for $200. Please keep in mind that Ritz Online is a separate entity from the stores, so unlike Circuit City where you can buy online and pick up at the store, with Ritz you have to treat them as two separate companies in terms of purchases, returns and pickups.

DSLR Specials
Adorama has a bundle of the Nikon D80 with the 18-55 DX lens and the 70-300 DX VR lens for $1359. Details here.

Meanwhile the Nikon D40, with the 18-135 DX mid-range lens is offered at $661, sold and shipped by Amazon itself.

If you find the new Sony A200 attractive, you can pre-order it, for $700, with the 18-70 DT lens. As of now, Sony does not offer a body only version of the Alpha A200 in the USA market.

A camera that is no stranger to popularity is the Nikon D300 offered with the 18-135 DX mid-range lens for $2100 by Cameta Cameras and others.

Meanwhile the new Olympus E3 continues to go for the list price of $1700. This camera was overshadowed by the sonic boom generated by the Nikon D3 and D300 duo, and some people are picking it as the dark horse of the 2008 DSLR market.
