What's hot at Amazon today?

Let's take a look at the latest movers and shakers at the Amazon Camera and Photo department.

First up, Adorama has an entry-level bundle for $162, featuring the Nikon Coolpix L15 - Silver, Digital Camera Digital Camera Kit With 1GB SD Memory Card, Nikon Fabric Case, Nikon 2 Year Extended Service Coverage.

This made-for-superstores Powershot is bundled by Cameta Cameras for $280 in this offering: Canon PowerShot A720 IS 8.0 Megapixel Compact Digital Camera with 6x Optical Zoom + Transcend 4GB 150x SecureDigital (SD) Card + High Speed USB 2.0 SecureDigital (SD) Card Reader + (4) - 2700mAh AA NiMH Rechargeable Batteries w/5 Hour 110-220v Charger + Digital Camera Case. The A720-IS is part of a trio of A-series that offers a great bang for the buck. The other two of course being the A560 and the A570-IS.

Cameta also offers a fun zoom bundle at $300, the Canon PowerShot SX100 IS 8.0 Megapixel Digital Camera with 10x Optical Zoom + Transcend 4GB SecureDigital (SDHC) Card + USB 2.0 SecureDigital (SD) Card Reader + (4) - AA Rechargeable Batteries w/ Charger + Digital Camera Case. This competes with the Sony H3 (also AA) and the Panasonic TZ3 (LiIon) in the booming fun-zoom sub-segment of the super zooms.

Speaking of which, the Panasonic FZ8 is around $250 and it does have RAW! Meanwhile Kodak's IS camera is at $209 through Beach Cameras. The camera? The Kodak Z712 IS.

The entry-level copper-color Kodak M753 is offered at $119. This is a LiIon-based entry-level.

Another budget camera is the $85 Samsung S830k, in green and other fashionable colors.

The Sony T2 is starting to ship steadily at the standard price of $350, available in multiple colors. Its claim to fame is having a 4gb on-board memory.

The Samsung NV7 is offered at $160 from Tigerdirect as it gets replaced by the 3rd generation of Samsung's NV-series.

$100 flat is what you can pay for the Samsung L730, in silver color. This is a $100 camera deal!

DSLR World Deals
The Olympus E500 with the 14-45 f3.5-5.6 kit lens is offered at $480 via Cameta Cameras. This is obviously an older model!

The Nikon D200, body only, is offered at $1400 from Cameta and others. This is about $400 below the brand new Nikon D300 which has been generated a lot of camera buzz.

$11 will get you the Hakuba MiniPro II Lens Pen. Don't do your homework with this pen or sign your checks or contracts ;-)

If you have a Nikon-mount DX DSLR and looking for a superzoom VR lens, the Nikon 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 G ED-IF AF-S VR [Vibration Reduction] DX Lens + Hoya 72mm UV Haze Protector Glass Filter + CapKeeper Lens Cap Strap + 6-Piece Cleaning Kit is bundled by Cameta Camaras for $700.

At $460, 17th Street Photo offers the Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 EX DC HSM Macro Lens for Nikon DSLRs.

$660 is what you part with if you want to get a Nikon D40 with the mid-range 18-135 DX lens. Bundled with the same lens is the Nikon D40X for $805 through Adorama.

Bundled with the 14-50 MegaOIS Leica lens, the Panasonic L1 looks tempting to those who just want the lens, since together they are offerd for $969.

Just announced, the Sony A200 is available at $800, offered with the 18-70 DT lensl. This is obviously in the pre-order stage!
