Digital Camera Weekend Specials on the net

Let's see what the internet cat has brought in while lurking in the Garden of Internet Deals. Okay, that was rather lame, but these deals are not!

DSLR Deals
OneCall.com is offering the hot-selling Canon Digital Rebel XSi for $745 with free shipping by FedEx (3-day even). This is the body only edition, and it is great for people who already have Canon lenses or are interested in getting more advanced lenses.

Compact Digital Camera Deals
Yet another compact digital camera for your pocket and for the newcomerers out there is the Panasonic Lumix FS5K going for $187 with free FedEx shipping. This is a 10-megapixel digital camera with a 1/2.3" sensor and a 3x optical zoom lens that starts wider than most cameras of this type, but they are not as wide as 28mm.

If you need megapixels by the pound, J&R World is offering the silver Casio EX-Z1200SR for $220. This uses a 3x optical zoom lens, SD memory card, LiIon battery, and 2.8" LCD, along with trendy features like face recognition, YouTube, eBay, and iTunes. Oh Casio :)

Also as part of their weekend sale, J&R World are offering the trusty Canon G9 for $460. This may not be as big and "old school" as the old-school G-series models, but it certainly has its many positives, especially considering that there are not that many alternatives in the marketplace at this point in time.

Memory cards and Accessories
Six dollars is all you have to pay for the Ultra 1gb SD memory card at the new CompUSA. Do note that this is a brand named Ultra, this is not Sandisk Ultra! The new CompUSA is the old CompUSA "rescued" by TigerDirect.

If you like to mix it up with the elements you might be intereted in the Olympus SW series of digicams. You do have to deal with xD memory cards, and if that's not an issue, then you might be interested in the Olympus Stylus 850SW black. It has a standard 3x optical zoom lens and your standard 8mp 1/2.5" sensor.
