Late night Amazon digital camera deals

And before we sign off for the night, let's take a quick look at Amazon. There's always some new cameras buzzing over there, and tonight is no exception! And here we go, we start with the 2008 model, the Panasonic FS5 silver, a 10mp 1/2.3" digital camera with a 4x optical zoom lens that starts at 30mm. Obviously not as wide as 28mm that the previous FX-series Panasonics of 2007 had, but some people may not be interested in going that wide. The most appealing part? The price! Just $191 with free shipping and a coupon code for a free 16"x20" collage poster from Shutterfly.com.

Hot on the heels of the dpreview review, the Olympus E420 with the 14-42mm kit lens is a hot seller at Amazon for around $530 at the moment, with free shipping and the free Shutterfly poster mentioned above. This is the smallest DSLR in the market but do note that it does not have image stabilization. It does take both Compact Flash and xD cards so you are not "trapped" in xD-neverland.

And for the low price bargain hunters out there, we have two $100 digital cameras at Adorama, the Nikon Coolpix L10, a basic AA-based point and shoot camera, and the Pentax M30, a more sophisticated LiIon-based Optio point and shoot. The M30 has more features, but the Coolpix is the more recognizable brand, although how much Nikon had to do with the camera is a mystery ;-)

And if you like your digital cameras, big and nasty, with RAW and a giant fixed lens, then consider the Fuji S100fs going for $675 with free ship and the free Shutterfly poster mentioned above.
