How about a $40 Cosina lens for Nikon?

Bargain hunting? Well, what do you think of an "old" but brand new in box, Cosina lens for the Nikon mount? 47th Street Photo is offering just that on Amazon, the Cosina 70-210 f4.5-5.6 lens, for the Nikon mount, for $40 plus $8 for shipping and handling.

Remember, this is a 35mm-full-frame lens, so when you place it on most of today's DSLRs, the ones with DX/APS-C sensors (which are the vast majority), you will get the equivalent of 105mm-315mm. No image stabilization of course, and Nikon does not offer sensor-shift stabilization, so tripods and monopods and bean bags can be your friend :)

The Amazon product descriptions mentions that this was made in Japan. We obviously have no way to verify that, but we don't have a reason to question it either.

There are two user reviews at the product page, one gave it five stars, the other gave it four stars. For more on this lens, Google is your friend :)
