Ritz and Wolf Camera DSLR specials for this week (7/20 to 7/26)

So what does Ritz and Wolf Cameras have in-store for us this week? Let's dive into their Sunday paper circular ad!

The Nikon D40 with the 18-55 non-VR DX kit lens is featured on the front page of the four-page circular ad for $500 and it comes with a $50 gift card, which brings the effective price to $450 if you plan on spending the $50 gift card at Ritz, in other words, if you shop there regularly, or can find something to buy with that gift card.

On page 3 of the circular we find more DSLRs, including the Nikon D60 with the 18-55 DX VR kit lens with a $50 Ritz gift card for $700 , along with the bigger Nikon D300, body only, with a $50 gift card, for $1800. Bad price Ritz stores :) You can get this camera at Amazon for around $1650.

Meanwhile, the Sony A350 with the 18-70 DT lens is going for $800, while the Canon Digital Rebel XSi 450D with the 18-55 IS EF-S lens goes for less than $900. Price not revealed.

These are the DSLRs adveritsed, but there's also a couple of lenses, the popular Nikon 18-200 DX VR for $750, and the Canon EF 55-250 IS f4-5.6 for $300. Also, the Tamron 18-250mm superzoom (f3.5-6.3 Di-II LD IF Macro) goes for $500 for the available mounts, while the Quantaray (Ritz house brand) 18-200mm DC OS for Canon and Nikon mounts goes for $530. Last but not least, the Quantaray 70-300mm f4-5.6 AF DI goes for $150, for CNMP.

Lens babies are on sale too, with the Lensbaby 2.0 going for $150, and the LensBaby 3G (no relation to the iPhone we presume) going for $270.

Other SLR accessories
The Quantaray QSX 9002TM hybrid tri-monopod is on sale for $60 with claimed pro-quality. This can extend up to 62 inches, folds down to 22 inches, while its monopod aspect extends to 63 inches. It does have a 3-way panhead. This is made by Sunpak and branded as the Ritz/Wolf/CameraWorld house brand "Quantaray".

And speaking of which, their Urban U30 gear backpack is on sale for $50, in either blue or red. It can hold a DSLR with a zoom lens, along with a couple more lenses and a flash, or something like that, depending of course on the size of each item.

And if you want your DSLR to be protected, the Camera Armor Rugged Skin is available for $50, and it fits a variety of popular DSLRs, including the Canon XTi and XSi Digital Rebels, and the Nikon D40, D40x, D60, and D80.

For better lighting, the Smith Vic tor KT500U thrifty basic set can be yours for $120. This value kit includes a 2-light 500-watt total kit, with umbrellas and stands too. Obviously, you can't expect it to behave like a $1000 pro-quality studio set!
