Panasonic 45-200mm f4-5.6 drops to around $300

If you have a Micro Four Thirds DSLR, there are currently only two lenses available, the kit lens which you got with the G1, or the Panasonic 45-200mm f4-5.6, which has been dropping in price little by little. The latest price is $300 if you buy by Beach Camera or Amazon, or $305 if you buy from Amazon.com actual. If you buy from Amazon actual, you can also get six months of no interest if you pay for it with the Amazon Store Card. See their website for all the details and terms for this particular promotion.

The lens is the equivalent of 90-400mm in terms of 35mm, since this is using a Four Thirds size sensor, which has a 2X multiplier factor when trying to get the focal length in 35mm terms.

Why get it in 35mm terms? Because this is what a lot of photographers can easily recognize, since most people have been using 35mm SLRs for years and years. The native lens focal lengths can create confuse among the average photographer, since there is 2X with Four Thirds, 1.7X with Foveon/Sigma, 1.6X with Canon and 1.5X with everybody else.
